Almaty private tours and day trips
Your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, your own pace. Every trip below leaves when you want it to and stops where you ask.

We speak English, Russian, Kazakh, Arabic and Malay — so nothing gets lost in translation.
Where we take people
Almaty sits against the Tian Shan, which means glaciers, canyons and alpine lakes all sit within a day’s drive of a city centre café.

Charyn Canyon
The red rock of the Valley of Castles and the river below. Three hours east.

Big Almaty Lake & mountains
A turquoise reservoir at 2,500 m, half an hour from the city.

Kolsai & Kaindy lakes
Alpine lakes and a spruce forest standing underwater since 1911.

Altyn-Emel & the Singing Dune
A humming dune 150 m high and the chalk Aktau mountains. We arrange the permit.

Turgen Gorge
Forest, river and waterfalls an hour away. The closest mountain trip.

Tamgaly-Tas
Figures of Buddha and Tibetan script cut into rocks above the Ili river.

Almaty city tour
Kok Tobe, Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, the Green Bazaar and Arbat — the city in one day.
Combination tours
With more than a day to spare, destinations are worth combining: the road passes them anyway, and the car and driver are already yours.

Test

Charyn + Kolsai + Kaindy
The most requested combination: the canyon on the way out, the mountain lakes on the way back, with a night in Saty village between them.
What it covers

Altyn-Emel + Tamgaly-Tas
The northern route: rock carvings above the Ili on the way, then the Singing Dune and the chalk Aktau mountains inside the national park.
What it covers

City + mountains in one day
Kok Tobe and the centre in the morning, the climb to Big Almaty Lake after lunch. Ideal when you only have one day in Almaty.
What it covers
Tour packages for international visitors
Many of our guests fly in from Delhi, Mumbai, the Gulf and Kuala Lumpur, often for four or five days. We build the whole ground programme around the flight times: someone meets you at arrivals, the car is there each morning, and the itinerary flexes if the weather turns.
Prices are quoted per vehicle rather than per person, so a family or a group of friends usually pays less than a seat-based coach tour.
We will build the route around you
Tick everything you would like to see — several destinations are fine. We join them into one route and price the whole trip.
Frequently asked
What makes a tour “private”?
The vehicle and the driver-guide are yours alone. You choose the departure time, how long to stay at each stop, and when to turn back. No other travellers, no fixed schedule.
Which trip should I pick if I only have one day?
Charyn Canyon if you want the landscape everyone photographs, Big Almaty Lake if you would rather stay close to the city. Both work as a single long day.
What is the best season?
May to October for the lakes and canyon. The mountain roads above the city stay open in winter, though the high passes to Kolsai can close after heavy snow.
How much does a tour cost?
We quote per trip, because the figure depends on the vehicle, the group size and the route. Send your dates and we reply with an itinerary and a firm price.
